WRONGFUL STATEMENT.
DAMAGES AGAINST AN M.P. (Received 21, 9.25 a.m.) London, July 20. The King’s Bench awarded Mr. Foster, ox-member for Lowestoft, £IOOO damages against Mr Beauchamp, the sitting member, for stating in an election pamphlet that Mr Foster’s A 7 otes on the Workmen’s Compensation Bill were contrary to the interests of the fishermen.
