(Per Press Association ' Dunedin, July 19. All that is definitely known of the man who died on Monday evening in a lodging-house in King street is the fact that he gave tiro name of Jackson. It was revealed in post mortem that both his lungs were adherent to the walls of chest and studded with tubercle. His identity and his history during even the past few years remain shrouded in mystery that is not dispelled, hut rather deepened by the few meagre statements ho made to his landlord dining his occupancy of a room in the lodging-house, which he took possession of bn May 17. The corpse was photographed at the morgue for the purposes of further investigation. In the meantime, lacking evidence of identification, Mr Graham (coroner) found at the inquest to-day that death was due to gonerJ exhaustion, the result of tubercle. A MAN MISSING. Wanganui, July 19. A young man, Walter Hartcher, aged 23 or 21, disappeared from his home early this morning. His hat was found on the river bank. He was last seen at 11 o’clock on the previous evening, when he went to bed. The-missing man had not been well lately. His sister resides here, but the family is said to reside in Nelson and other relations in Sydney.
