J ( Waihi, July 19. m Tbe agrecmbu't' recently come to betweeij. the mining companies and union has not been sugped owing to a dispute over ■technical ’points, and at a mhss meeting of miners last night it was resolved to give the companies one week to reconsider their decision and i moot the union’s demands, tailing which a meeting will be held next Tuesday to re-open the whole question of wages, etc. The situation has caused a feeling of Unrest amongst local business people and has re-awakened the fear prevalent a few weeks back oi a strike.
