FOREST FIRES.
V FRY LATEST PARTICULARS. (Ru oived 15, 1.40 p.m.) Ottawa, July 14. The fires in Northern Ontario are now under control. It is estimated that 500 people perished, and 20,000 e homeless. The flames swept an area of 10,000 miles. Now York, July 14. For three days forest flies have been raging in Michigan. Seven persons are known to he dead, and scores arc missing. The loss is estimated at two million pounds. An area of 1000 square miles was swept by tiic flames.
