WILLIAM PENN.
FIRST MEMORIAL IN ENGLAND. (Received 15, 9.10 a.m.) London, July 14. The first American memorial in England to William Penn was unveiled to-day in All-Hollows Church, Barking, where Penn was baptised. Mary descendents, including Lord Ranfuiiy, were present. At a subsequent dinner, Lord Kitchener, responding to the toast ot The Armies of America, Britain, and the Overseas Dominions, said Australia possessed a College full of cadets, which was based on the principles of West Point, proving the admiration of Britishers for the institution that was providing Atnojca wr.Ji officers, and also showog the energy of Australia and New Zealand in tiuujHig military problems.
