SCHOOL CHILDREN.
RESULT OF MEDICAL INSPECTION. (Received 15, 9.10 a.m.) London, July 14. Mr Rurciman, President of the Board of Education, states that the medical inspection of two million school children showed the following percentages :—lO per cent, defective sight, 22 to 40 per cent, were in urgent need of dentist, 3 to 5 per cent. Pad defective hearing, 8 per cent, had enlarged tonsils, 1 to 4 per cent, suffered from tuberculosis, and 1 per cent, from heart disease.
