London, July 14. Princess Christian and the presidentevof the Women’s Workers’ Unithe British Women’s Christian Association, and the Girls’ Friendly Society has issued a circular offering suggestions to the Oversea Governments respecting women emigrants. They suggest selection by responsible officials and reliable agencies; the girls to Sail in the care of a State-paid matron; each State to provide a reception home free of board and lodgings for three days; the officials to find situations with approved employers:; the girls to be allowed to return to these hostels during intervals of service at a moderate charge; and the States to appoint voluntary inspectors to visit the girls during the first year’s service.
