THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR. (Pov Press Association.) * Carterton, July 12. Mr Gwilling dairy produce grader at Wellington, who was recently selected by the Agricultural Department to go Home as inspector of dairy produce in London, has intimated to the Hon. T. Mackenzie that he cannot see his way to accept the appointment. This announcement was made by the Minister of Agriculture here today in replying to congratulations from tho dairymen upon the recent, appointment, which was, stated to be one of very, great promise and importance to the whole industry. Ths Minister added that he had asked tlie Dairy Commissioner, Mr Cnddie, to recommend the best man on the staff of tho Department for the position. It was the desire of the Department to station an officer in London whoso duty it would be to toll the producers exactly, from the scientific and practical points of view, tho condition in which dary produce .-•rrvod in England.
