TARANAK! WOOL, SKIN, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALE. MR NEWTON KING’S REPORT. On Tuesday, July 4th, I held my usual four-weekly sale of above produce. Tl;e catalogue comprised 12 bales and 72 sacks wool, 2740 sheepskins ,16 casks, J kegs, and 40 tins tallow, 978 hides, 231 calfskins besides the usual assortment of bones, horse hair, cowtails, etc. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. Wool and sheepskins were on a par with late rates, any change being in favour of the buyer. I did not have any first-class lines of stout ox hides to offer this sale. Prices reahsed for the classes offered were equal to last sale. Best lines of cow hides sold at late rates, ordinary cow in most cases declined £ per lb. Tallow declined 10s per ton.
