LONDON WOOL SALES,

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 12. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from Lho High Commissioner under date London, 11th, regarding the opening of the fourth series of colonial wool sales:—“The wool sales have commenced, and prices are at an average of one halfpenny lower all round. The market is weaker, largely on account of the strike, which resulted in stock accumulating. The prospects are favourable. If there are not many lots withdrawn there will he 101,000 bales of New Zealand wool available. The estimated values of New Zealand wools at the dose of the third series of colonial wool sales were as follows:

Superior merino Is to Is 2d per lb, medium lOd to Hkl, inferior Sd to 3kl, fine crossbreds Hid to Is 2d, medium crossbreds 9d to lid, coarse crossbreds Bkl to lOd.
