CORRESPONDENCE.
SEATS AT MUNICIPAL CHAMBERS.
(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”) Sir,—As I take much interest in the welfare of the town, I am frequently present at meeting of various bodies in the Municipal Chambers, and also at public meetings held there. Oh every occasion I find that the seating accommodation is inadequate and unsatisfactory, people having frequently to stand about during meetings. I understand that Mr. Howsou, commercial instructor at tho Technical School, intends at an early date to give a lecture which is sure to be largely attended, anti it is safe to say that those present will suffer considerable discomfort owing to the inadequacy of tho seats provided. This is a matter which deserves consideration, even though the Council’s overdraft is so considerable, as the public arc entitled 'to decent accommodation when they are called to a meeting for the public good. It is quite possible that many citizens (especially ladies) do nob attend meetings on matters in which they arc interested merely by reason of the discomfort suffered.— I am, etc., CITIZEN.
