THE KING’S APPRECIATION. London, July 5. His Majesty the King, in a letter to General Sir R. F. F. Baden-Powell, says he is greatly pleased to see so many Boy Scouts in all parts of the United Kingdom, and also in the overseas Dominions. He welcomes the opportunity of showing his appreciation of the great voluntary work being done by men and women of all classes in striving to promote the progress of sound training and 'education among the. Empire’s rising generation. > He congratulated General BadenPowell on the remarkable results the Boy Scouts movementohad achieved, and said he felt sure the boys of the Empire would show gratitude for the encouragement so generously given by the various organisations at Home and abroad, and endeavour to become God-fearing and useful citizens.
