NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The auctioneers and general merchants of Stratford will close their businesses to-morrow on account of the Hawera Show. Mr G. Watson’s place which was advertised has been withdrawn from sale. Mil - Newton King notifies purchasers of slag ex Margit that the vessel has arrived to-day and for clients to arrange accordingly for delivery of slag. The attention of the ladies of Stratford is drawn to the advertisement of Miss R. A. Clark, representative of the Now Zealand Viavi Co., who will give a free health talk on Friday evening. These talks are interesting as well as instructive. To-morrow the N.Z.L. and M.A. Co., Ltd., will conduct a sale of dairy cows on account of Messrs T. and J. Walsh at the Hawera yards. Messrs Beckett and Roberts, Broadway, have a good solaciion of friezes and paperhangings in stwk. Mr B. Harkncss bar- a large stock of cartridges on hand which lie is offering at reduced pates. Mr. W. V/. Hodge wants to exchange IJo acres for a small farm. On Thursday, July 153 th, the N.Z. Loan and M. A. Co., Ltd., conduct a stock sale at Wingrove Road, Ngairo, on account of Mr R. IV. Best. Particulars are published elsewhere. Boys to distribute books are wanted. An advertiser has a good quiet cow for sale. Messrs R. H. White and Co. commence their half-yearly sale on Saturday, July Btb, when big bargains in reliable drapery, clothing, and mercery will 1)8 offered. Read inset circulated with this paper. A nurse girl is advertised for. A reminder is given of Mr. Newton King’s weekly sale at the Haymarket on Saturday, July 8.
