THE DISTILLERY FIRE.

A RIVER OF BLAZING WHISKY. (Received 5, 9.-10 a.m.) London, .July 4. In connection with the destruction of the . Dahnoro distillery at Rossshire, on the cry of fire being raised, a number of half-naked men rushed to liberate the famous polled Angus herd of cattle. Women were huddled together in groups in the market square to evade the rush of the maddened animals. One hundred casks of 20-year-oid whisky burst into red flames and flowed into Cromarty Firth. Sand was thrown on the burning stream, but was futile. The burning spirit lit the Firth like a searchlight, and was visible at Dingwall, nine miles away.
