THE PARLIAMENT BILL.

In the House of Commons, Mr. Wodgood, Liberal member for Now-castlo-uiidcr-Lymc, asked Mr Asquith whether, in view of the Government’s defeat in the Lords, lie would withdraw the Parliament Bill and recommend the creating of peers in order that the will of the people might prevail. ■Mr. Asquith said the Govern men fc did not intend to withdraw.
