At. tlie recant sittings ot' the Supreme Court at New Plymouth the action brought by Rasmus Anderson, of Whangani omo na, farmer, against John George Buchanan, of Kohuratahi fanner, for £5Ol damages for alleged seduction by defendant of plaintiff’s daughter, was settled out of Court. Mr R. Spence, for the plaintiff, announced to his Honor Mr Justice Kdwards “that no jury need ho empanelled as a satisfactory settlement had been arrived at, lint, that in order to allow this settlement to he given effect to the case would require to bo adjourned until March next.’’ His Honor granted the adjournment accordingly.
