Kruh, of Wanganui, was appointed Gonmui Consul in Ngav ZcaJaud, and lie is the recipient of many congratulatory telegrams and letters, including a message from Wir James Carroll, on behah of the Government, and from foreign Consuls at Wellington and other places. Tho Gorman Government lias recognised his long servic.es by granting him the Order ol the Crown, and also the Order of tiie Red Eagle, and this morning lie receiA’ed a letter stating.‘that his imperial German Majesty had granted liiin a higher Order of the Crown, AA'ith the number “50,” Avhich order is-limited to issue of o().
