IMPERIAL UNITY.

(Received 3, 9.3 a.in.) London, July 2. A meeting under the auspices of the Imperial Mission, Mr. Craft, M.P, presiding, gave approval to the Mission’s policy of promoting Imperial unity by emphasising to the people of the 'Empire the benefits of solidarity in commerce and defence, to the importance of increasing the production of food within the Empire; also the desirability of directing the current of emigration towards, the oversea .Dominions. Sir J. Quick emphasised that there was a combination of forces independent of kinship and sentiment assisting to keep the Empire together. The peoples of the Empire should know that in harmony with their mutual interests and woll-being there should lie a continuity of the Empire. He believed in preferential trade within the Empire. . . Many M.P.’s and overseas visitors wore present.
