The dairy hock ,although unfavourable reports rad been circulated 'about them, iodised good prices, cows making from ~7os to 225 s per head. The sale was considered a good one. The sundries, •vhich were numerous, were disposed rf at market values. Our next sale A’ill Ire held in our - Stratford yards on Tuesday, 4th July, entries for which ire now advertised. Messrs Matthews and Bonnet’s Repos t. Messrs Matthews and Bennett report that there was a very large c*n;ry of cattle in their Inglewood yards ru Wednesday last. Prices being' m the move and most lots changed rands at the following prices:— rVeauers, 28s to 30s; store cows, £3 ;o £3 ss; good steers,. £3 8s to £3 .Os ; heifers, £3 7s Gd to £1 3s ; springers, £G 7s Gd to £7 ss; dairy cows, 31. to £7 ss; owes, 4s 4d to 5s lid. Young, Hobbs and Co.’s Report. On June 22nd, at Lower Stuart load, wo held a clearing sale on hermit of Mr H. J; Sergei. The herd consisted of 70 odd dairy cows and r number of springing heifers, all of which made very satisfactory u'ices. Farm implements and furriture were also well competed for. Dairy cows made the. satisfactory average of £8 10s. Best cows, made 29 to £l3, backward and aged do. 35 10s to £S 10s, 2-year springing lelfers £! 10s to £G 10s, yearling heifers £2 10s to £2 12s Gd. Draught lorses made £ls to £2O 10s, 4 do. £26 10s, yearlings £G to £l3. At Kaponga on Friday, 23rd. we had an average yarding which, sold at ruling rates. Forward cows made £3 16s to £4 ss, store to fresh do. £2 18s to £3 15s, old do. £1 to £2 12s, springing heifers £5 10s to £6 10s, yearling heifers £2 12s, calves 245. At Eltham on Wednesday, 28th, ve had a full yarding and most of the stock was quitted at satisfactory orices.
