A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
The executive committee of the A. and P. Association met last night. In the absence of the president (Mr Dingle) the chair was occupied by Mr W. P. Kirkwood. There were also present Messrs Malone, Porritt, Masters, Healy and Mormon. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Pollock for a donation of eight guineas, and to the ‘ ‘Stratford Evening Post” for a promise to supply the paper to the Association’s reading room. It was decided to recommend the home industries schedule committee to get a ladies’ committee to co-operate with them. Messrs Malone and Kirkwood were asked to interview the local Territorial officers regarding miilitary events at tho Show. On Mr Healy’s motion, it was decided to ask the cattle schedule committee to provide a class for best dairy bull, three of the bull’s progeny in milk to lie shown at the same time. The poultry schedule committee is to be asked to confer with the Egg Circle authorities, with a view to setting up a committee to manage the poultry portion of the Show. It was decided to procure sufficient timl;er to enable the caretaker to construct a hundred sheep hurdles.
