o— NEW ZEALANDERS ABROAD. Sydney, June 28. At Newcastle the New Zealand League team , defeated the Hunter River district team by 21 points to 20. 1 There was a drizzling rain, but a large attendance. Play was fast and even throughout the first' half,, which ended: Newcastle 12, New Zealand 10. In the second half the visitors turned the tables, scoring 11 points to the locals’ 8. For Now Zealand, Siddels, Seagar, Mason, Woodward, and Stanneway scored tries. Seagar converted two, Macon kicked a penalty goal. SCHOOL MATCH. Christchurch, June 28. The annual football match between Christ’s College and the Boys’ High School was played to-day, and after an exciting and splendid exhibition, the game ended in a draw, each side scoring six points.
