A POISONING TRAGEDY.

At tho inquest on the bodies oi Mrs. Russell and Mies Ford, the victims of the Fiizroy tragedy, a verdict was returned that Mrs. Russell administered poison to her sister and took some herself. There was no evidence to show the state of her mind.
Mrs. Russell committed suicide at Fit/.roy after siio had poisoned her sister, a dipsomaniac. She had attempted suicide two years ago by throwing herself into tho river iami, but was rescued. .Mm then promised not to attempt suicide again unless she was sure her sister would not suffer in consequence. She know she was not always able to conquer the impulse to self-destruction, and felt that her sister, alone, was unable to lift herself from the debasement into which she was falling.
