REDUCTION OF RACING. WESTPORT JOCKEY CLUB UP IN ARMS. (Per Press Association.) Westport, June 23. A meeting of the stewards of the Westport Jockey Club decided to enter a most emphatic protest to the Minister against the recommendations of tho Racing Commision to abolish too Westport Jockey Club, and also to interview the Minister of Internal Affairs at Wellington on the matter, and tho Hon. R’. McK eimc on the occasion of his forthcoming visit to Westport.
