WEDDING BELLS.

The residence of Mr and Mrs Steer, Toko, was the scene of a quiet but pretty wedding on Tuesday last, the contracting parties being Mr William Sbedgwoll, second son of Ms W. Skcdgwell, fanner, Salisbury Road, and Miss Queen in Kate Steer, third daughter of Mr and Mrs Steer, 61 Toko. The bride, who was given away by her father, was handsomely dressed in lovely satin striped voile, suitably trim mod and faced with black. The bridesmaids, Misses Grace Skedgwoll and Mabel'Jane Steer, looked well in their white gowns and performed their duties with grace. Mr George Steer acted as host man. The ceremony was performed outside on the sunlit verandah and was solemnised by the Roy. B. Metson. Later, an inviting breakfast was partaken of by the gnosis in the large dining-room, where the customary toasts were spoken to by ■ Messrs Steer and Metson. Many Useful and pretty presents testified to the esteem in which the bride and bridegroom aro held by their many friends. The bride travelled in a becoming tweed costume with hat to match. Mr and Mrs Skedgwell are remaining in the district, having settled on a farm at Tuna.
