A NEW BUSINESS.
Stratford’s advancement is evidenced by the starting of another up-to-date wood and coal yard and general carrying business , in Miranda Street, in premises adjoining Mr Newton King’s saloyards. The now firm, Messrs G. Slight and Co., who have bought the property, have made extensive alterations to the premises. Two largo coal binns have been erected, and a new engine has been installed for woodcutting purposes. The second floor of the building lias been thoroughly renovated, and is now available to; the public for storing purposes. A block and tackle has been put in, so that clients can rely on furniture or other goods sent to be stored being put in without damage. For a start two carta will bo in daily use, and the firm undertakes to deliver coal, coke or wood to all parts of tho district.
