BANKRUPTCY MEETING.
(Per Press Association ) Auckland, Juno 21. A meeting of the creditors of John lippar, bankiiipt*, whoso motor garage in Ouay (Street, was gutted by iii.c on March 10th, was held yesterday altoniaou. The Assignee stated Unit '! ijipcr had been adjudged a bankrupt on creditors’ petition. A warrant had been issued for his arrest, lull so far had not been executtho debtor’s whereabouts being unknown. A statement prepared by -in accountant showed that bankrupt icceivcd £359 from an insurance-com-destroyed by fire, but lus claims against the insurance company m inspect of. several motorcars were not paid. The only, assets wore ,i few articles in the garage, and ■passible rights oyer two motor cars. '1 ho Assignee said he would he glad if he could get enough to pay tho coats of the bankruntev. He know debtor drew £-150 from’the bank the day; before ho left Auckland. 'Hie meeting was adjourned sine die.
