Wmr second and only half a point behind Both those gentlemen state that although the weight judged only vent just over 231 tons to the acre, it must ho remembered that the 1 tamos weighed were not taken from the thickest part by any means, and they both estimate their crops to aveiage well over 30 tons, per aero. In a plot of 5 acres Mr Weir weighed close on 500 square yards, and the crop averaged just <»n 3! tons per acre and he invited farmers to visit his paddock dining the next week or so and see'for themselves the insult of sowing this, famous Miglrfnroof swede, Other .successful growers of Garton’s root crops this season include.
