THE CORONATION.
STRATFOR]) CELEBRATIONS. A committee meeting of the Stratford Borough Council to make arrangements for the carrying out ol the Coronation celebrations was held in the Council Chambers last evening, and everything was satisfactorily arranged. Correspondence was received from the ministers of religion, friendly societies, boy and girl scouts, etc, falling in with ti’.o suggestions of the committee.
The question of arranging for a band for the procession was left in the hands of his Worship the Maya* and Cr Ward.
The order of the procession was iix ed as follows: ■ Mounted. Rifles Returned 'Hoopers Veterans Boy Scouts Clir! Scouts Band Mayor .and Councillors (Jount.y Councillors Hospital Board School children Fire Brigade Friendly Societies Foot I ia Hers General mihlic.
The procession will form up at the Court House at 12.60 p.m. sharp, and will march through Broadway, down Regan Street and along Juliet Street, thence along Fenton Street, to Victoria Park, where the celebrations will lie held.
It was decided to procure ton sacks of sawdust for the Town Hall flour in ease of web weather, .so that the floor will not lie affected for the hospital ball in tbc evening. Lollies will be distributed to the children alter the ceremony.
