He stated he would 210 b press the amendment if the Bill would bo thereby jeopardised. Senator Melburn stated the committee would be tied whether the report was adverse or otherwise. Figures showing Canadian imports of United States goods 'were supplied to the Senate Finance pommittco by Mr. Knox, and disclosed Canadian remission of duties of nearly three and a quarter million dollars.
