DRUIDISM.
Tho half-yearly installation meeting of the Stratford Lodge of Druids was hold in tho Foresters’ Hall last night, a good number of members being present,, Bro. J. W. Jones, A.D., presiding. Two now members were ;n----iated into the order. D.P. Beamish, of Hawora, attended and installed the following officers:—Arch Dr,id, Bro. Hugh; Vice-Arch, Bro.. G.' Liddington; Secretary, Bro. W. l Lotz (ro-olectcd); Treasurer, Bro. ll.' Burmostor (re-elected); 1.G., Bro. McMillan; 0.G., Bro., Smith; A.D.B’s., Bros. Abraham, P.A., and Cox; V.A.B’s., Bros Aagaard and W. Rowe. After business, tho lodge adjourned to do justice to an excellent supper provided by Mrs Brown, when tho usual loyal and Druidic toasts were honoured, a pleasant evening being brought to a close shortly before midnight. MEW THEATRE FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. o Mr Garnet H. Saunders lias now .completed arrangements for tne erection of an op-to-date theatre on the sections of hand hetu-en Me? sis Abbott’s, tinsmiths ,and Mi Joe A cost’s, in central Devon - Street, the frontage of which is occupied at present by tw-o small shops. The theatre will he built of ferro-concreto, and will ho replete with all modern conveniences, including a spacious balcony leading out from tho dress circle. The latter will be well appointed and fitted with the latest theatrical chairs. A special room will bo provided for the accommodation of the cinematographic machine, the lateset type of which has already been cabled for.
