FIRE BRIGADE MATTERS.
The following report of the. Eire Brigade Committee was adopted by the Borough Council last nignt;— Payment to Firemen for \Vatching Fires.—Your Committee bog to report that, they have instructed the Town Cleijv to communicate with the Fire Underwriters’ Association on this matter. Requisites for Brigade.—Your Committee recommend the Council to procure the following requisites applied ‘for hy the Biigado:— One dozen hatchets, belts, and spanners; 200 ft. liinch hose; 85ft 1-inch hose; 3 doz. 21-inch rubber washers; 2 lanters; 2 firemen’s caps. The cost of those , will amount to about £2O.
