PRINCE OF WALES.
RECEIVES ORDER OF GARTER. AN rMPRESSTVF CEREMONY. London, June 11. The ceremony of investing the Vince of Wales with the Order of the Garter took place yesterday. The Knights and officers of the Order assembled in the Waterloo Chamber, and ,om thence were summoned to the .hrono.Room, where King George, 'ueen Mary, cx-King Manuel, the /like of Connaught, Prince Arthur ol onnalight, and the Prince Christian, zero seated at the head of the table. r J lie scene was one of great beauty, nil interest. The Duke of Connaught nd Prince Arthur led in the Prince of vales, when the King proceeded to nckle on the Gaiter. The Prelate •renounced the customary admoniion, .and the King having invested ho Prince with the insignia of the Or'er, gave him the accolade. Other Knights of the Order present ongratulated the Prince, who hove imsolf during the trying ordeal with ignity. A procession to St. George’s 'lmpel followed. The Royal Knights-accompanied the Vince, and four train-bearers, clad i'v earlet, held the robes of the Kim nd Queen, who walked hand in hand Vucon Mary wearing the insignia proanted by the Maries of the Empire.
