Newton King's Weekly Report. At Urcnui on Monday there was a small yarding, and bidding was quiet. Calves made IGs to 21s, heifer do. 32s Gd, 18 month to 2 year heifers £3 los IS month steers £3 ss, store cows £3 Is 21 year steers £4 2s Gd, 4-tooth wethers' lls Gd. Furniture and sundries on account of Mr. D. 0. Shute made satisfactory prices. At Stratford on Tuesday there was a good ‘yarding of principally grown cattle. Bidding dragged for nearly all classes except store cows and weavers, which fully maintained late values. Calves made IGs Gd, good do. 28s, heifer do. 23s to 3Gs Gd, 21 to 3 yeax in-calf heifers £4 15s .to £5 12s, IS month empty heifers (Jersey strain) £4 10s, store cows £2 17s to £3 3s, forward do. £4 Gs to £4 10s, fat do. £5 to £6. ./ ... Mr. Simmon’s dairy herd met with good competition and sold as follows,: Young and early calvers £5 10s to £8 15s, ~aged and' late do. £2 15s to £5. At Stony River on Wednesday there was a- small yarding, and few buyers. Calves made 26s Gd, 20 month steers £3 15s, forward cows £4 10s, store do. £2 7s, springing heifers £5 10s, bull £5 ISs.
