In our report of the last meeting pi the Wliangamomona County Council it was erroneously stated,. as tho result of a typographical mistake, thiiu the Council had remitted the ten per cent, penalty on rates unpaid by Messrs. Smith and Bray. As a niattoi! of fact the application was reluscfl, the Council having no power to grant a remission.
