HINTS FOR REGISTRANTS. Practically everybody knows the necessity of registering under tho new defence scheme before Fi iday next; but it might, be advisable to state three facts, which, although they have been mentioned fairly frequently, may have escaped the notice of some:— There is no exemption from registration. Every person between the ages of fourteen and twenty-one inert register. Exemptions from training will bo determined after registration. The payment of a fine does iof exempt a man from service. .A man may be fined for non-registra-tion—-although tho authorities are not desirous of doing so—and can immediately be served with notice to parade.
