S tpplb Bankrupt said the bulioek team bad been bought by Mrs. Sharroi-k causb Mow tan King would not sell them to him, the reason given being that, there was a indgmA»M,suiiim.>ns ■against him. The‘bight bullocks and the dray were worth about CIO. In answer to the Assignee, bankrupt; .said-die’. had been working the bullocks and taking all the pro-lit maeje. He had been responsible for all; grazing. The grazing owed to Pitt was for another team while lie was working for, Brown and Co. There were r .thirteen 1 bullocks in that team. Leiptc ho .went north he. sold this tea.iii, and, practically tlio whole of the proceeds of the sale were paid to Newton King. Of the latest team one hurt.his log and another was no good at all. These two were sold and realised. £lO, which was paid to Ikcwton King in reduction of tlie bill of sale. His brother, W. Sliarrock, had a contract with Derby Bros. Bankrupt was on wages. His wife was promised a consideration for the use of the team, but she got nothing. Bankrupt got practically all his wages. If the bullocks and dray were put up to auction they would fetch about £-10. They had cost about £IOO, but that was in the rpiing, xx lion ; teams were in demand, there was no reason why the team should not bring about £75 next spring. ’ The account of £25 to W. Sbarrock was for grazing oil turnips lot the present team, .Payment for t]io turnips was at fcl.ro rate of £5 per acre, A sum of £5 ! had been roceivecl by W. Sliarrock’ and Mrs. Shairock in respect of their contract with Derby Bros., but this bad been previously overdrawn at the Bank to*enable wages’ to bo paid. He (bankrupt) had no property, and his wife had no property beyond the bullocks. Inc Assignee said lie did not see any hope for creditors. . The kill of sale over the (nihocks had been given eighteen months nefore, and there did rot■ seem to ho sny’possibility of any margin oh the im*! locks. As to the matter ;u grazing, etc.; ni.ieli should have H -oil charged to Mrs. Slianock, there did net seem any profit in going into it.
iho creditors took no action, beyond intimating that Cini'rr,pi's disd'eige would he cppr.nd if he did not make «n:ne . Id,id to clc.n ! ims; !f.
