NARROW ESCAPE OF A LINER. (Received 25, 10.55 a.m.) London, May 21. The Cunard liner Ivernia struck Daunt Rock in a fog, and was beached in Queenstown harbour. A large hole was made in the steamer’s bottom, but the watertight bulkheads instantaneously closed, and thus confined tlie water to the forepart, where there is 25 feet of water. There was no panic, as the offijs.s reassured the 728 passengers.
