A CII ALLEN G M AND A UK PLY. By Tolegran'i —l’rp=n A =«neianor. Wellington, Last Night. The leader of the Opposition, having invited the Hon. 0. Kowlds to tour th 1 Dominion at the expense of his pr'itical opponents on promising to repeat his Pukekohe speech in every electorate, the lion. C. Kowlds told a New Zealand Times representative that he is quite prepared to take up Air. Massey’s oiler. “Yes, I saw it, hut it was only hlullV’ replied .Mr. Kowlds when asked if Air. Massey’s challenge had reached him during his travels. “When Air. Alassey gets his guarantee of travelling expenses .complete, I will he prepared to favorably consider the proposal. I notice lie was discreetly silent on the principal charge I brought against him in that speech. That was that he had appealed to foreign money lenders to put the squeeze on New Zealand, and I hope farmers ana settlers in the back blocks will take notice of that fact, because the stoppage of money for making roads and bridges is likely to do more serious injury to them than the presence of a single ta:: Alinistcr in the Cabinet.”
