NATIONAL SEAMEN’S UNION.
ADOPT A NOVEL IDEA. Loudon, May 20. A protest against the refusal of the Shipping Federation to admit seamen having any grievances requiring present discussion, the National Seamen’s Union is arranging for holiday camps lasting a fortnight. It is expected 7000 seamen from various ports will join the camps.
The seamen’s officials denied that the, movement was a strike, although it might develop into one at any moment.
