A championship contest has been arranged by the Hawke’s Bay Boxing Association for its next tournament, when Clarrie Rayner (Blenheim) and Percy Kelly (Auckland) will contest the New Zealand professional lightweight championship title relinquished by Jack Jarvis (Taranaki) on his retirement. KELLY DEFEATS WRIGHT (P.A.) TIMARU, November 21. Percy Kelly (Auckland) was too versatile for Ken Wright (Timaiu) whom he defeated on points in a professional welterweight boxing contest at Timaru tonight. The winner was aggressive throughout.
