Fate of Missionary
Official advice that the Rev. D. C. Alley was on board a Japanese prison ship when it was torpedoed three years ago has been received by his wife, Mrs D. C. Alley, of Riverton. Mr Alley, who was a missionary in the Solomons, was captured by the Japanese and taken to Rabaul. With many other Allied prisoners he was on his way to Japan when the ship was torpedoed. Most of the prisoners were killed.
