Returning on leave after nearly 10 years’ service as High Commissioner for New Zealand in London,- Mr W. J. Jordan is expected to arrive at Whcnuapai today. Mr Jordan, who is accompanied by Mrs Jordan, has travelled by the R A.F. Transport Command service from England via Canada, the United States and Fiji.—(P.A.)

The Hon. T. F. Doyle, M.L.C., will leave tomorrow for Wellington. The Rev. Father C. Feebly, C.F., who recently returned from the South-west Pacific, has been on a visit to Invercargill and was the guest of his mother, Mrs Feehly-Hinsley, Georgetown. Mr D. C. Cameron, Mayor of Dunedin, who visited Invercargill during the weekend, returned to Dunedin by the express last evening. Mr Charles J. Hopgood, a former resident of Invercargill, was a visitor to the city last week. He returned to Dunedin by the express last evening. Flight Lieutenant E. Clow, who has received the Dutch Flying Cross is the son of Mr and Mrs E Clow New Plymouth, where he was born. light Lieutenant Clow has been on active service for five years. He was sho down three years ago and for two years was a prisoner. He was repatriated to England last year, owing to illness, which prevented his return to the Dominion. He is aged 24. (P.A.)
