OBITUARY

MR WILLIAM GILL The death of Mr William Gill, wellknown resident of the Winton and Hokonui districts, occurred recently. Mr Gill took a prominent part in sport and until a few years ago he was a familiar figure at sports meetings in the province. He won several doublehanded sawing championships with Mr G. Hammond, of Centre Bush. Mr Gill is survived by his Wife, seven, daughters, Mesdames J- Martin, J. Davidson, E. Malcolm, G. Malcolm, J. Shaw, G. Drysdale and P. Shaw, ana three sons, Messrs W. Gill, R. Gill and J. Gill. There are 27 grandchildren.
