INDUSTRIES FAIR.— The suspension of certain provisions of the Shops and Offices Act and Factories Act and the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act was gazetted last night to enable the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association to conduct an industries fair this month. The suspensions mainly deal with the hours of stopping and starting work to enable attendants at the fair to carry out their duties without infringing the provisions of the various industrial awards and agreements .(P.A.).
