ACCOUNTANT’S DEATH
Coroner Returns Verdict Of Suicide (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 10. The circumstances left only one conclusion, that of suicide while suffering from a temporary mental disorder, said the coroner, Mr W. G. Mellish, at the inquest today on Stanley Eustace Lambert, accountant, aged 63. The verdict was that death resulted from severe head injuries suffered following a fall. Donald William Fraser said he saw Lambert climb on to a windowsill on the third floor of a city building on August 7. Lambert leaned his head backward and fell. He saw the incident from an opposite building. Constable W. J. Fitzsimmons said that on’ the table of the office from which Lambert had fallen “he found personal effects of Lambert’s and a note giving his name, address and telephone number. Lambert’s eldest son, A. Lambert, said his father had been in a depressed condition for some time, but had never shown an inclination to take his own life.
