Cool Temperatures
(Special) WELLINGTON, August 10. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m. tomorrow: — New Zealand lies in a weak low pressure area. Moderate northwesterlies predominating and gradually freshening. Some scattered showers in the west, but the weather otherwise fair. Temperatures cool.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cool and cloudy, with a fresh westerly wind. The weather at one o clock _ this morning was cold and clear, with a slight westerly wind. The barometer reading was 29.79 inches (falling). The Tides. —Saturday: High water.
