“DEAD MAN DISMISSED”

Sir, —The report of an application for release from detention on parole in your issue of July 31 creates a wrong impression. Under the above heading, the idea is conveyed, that the Christadelphian Church dismissed one of its members from its fellowship after his death had occurred in Greece. As a Christadelphian of over 40 years standing, I know that such a ■ thing would not be done. The church has its rules of membership. Other churches and societies also have their rules. When any of these rules is broken, whatever penalty attaching thereto is applied. In this case the church refused fellowship to a member who had violated its rule of abstinence from all forms of military service, and notice of this would be given him before he went overseas. 11. 11. JAMES.
