STANDARD TIDE GAUGE.— Fot several years the Bluff . Harbour Board has been working with the Lands and Survey Department in an endeavour to fix mean sea level at the port of Bluff and the datum for the standard tide gauge. The board’s engineer, Mr D. P. S. Mason, reported at the meeting of the board yesterday that the work had been completed and permanent bench marks established.
