TOWN PLANNING CODE
Suggested Shopping Area A request was made to the Town Planning Committee at a recent meeting of the City Council that the committee should consider the creation of an extra shopping area comprising the four comers of the intersection of Tay and Lindisfarne streets.
At the meeting of the council last night it was reported that the committee had deferred consideration of the question. , Several other town planning items came before the council. The Town Planning Committee reported that a resident of the city had submitted a plan for a garage which was not in accordance with the town planning code. The committee had visited the site and the resident had been informed of the correct position to place tire garage. The committee had also had before it plans and specifications for a building permit to add living rooms to business premises. The proposal sumitted was not in conformity with the town planning code, and the committee recommended that the applicant be informed that it was necessary to comply with the provisions of the code. The committee also recommended that an application for permission to erect a garage for two lorries on a section in a residential area be declined.
The recommendations were approved.
