OBITUARY
MR F. WILDING, K.C. P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 5. The death has occurred of Mr Frederick Wilding, New Zealand’s senior ! Kang’s Counsel. , He had a record of [more than 60 years’ active legal practice, beginning in Christchurch in 1879. Mr Wilding, who was the father of ■Anthony Wilding, the great tennis I player, was a keen athlete. In England She represented Herefordshire and the West/of England at Rugby and was a first-class oarsman, sprinter and tennis player. In New Zealand he was five times, in partnership with R. W. Harman, tennis doubles champion of the Dominion, and in 1906 he partnered his son Anthony in doubles at Prague. He was a former president of the Canter[bury Cricket Association.
